H & H Wilson v. PED

Plaintiff client brought an action against PED for breach of contract and fraud in the Los Angeles Superior Court in Compton. Essentially, the plaintiff alleged that PED failed to pay it for electrical engineering services performed for the defendant and the defendant had used fraud to induce the plaintiff to do the work with no intent to pay. The amount of the claim was $250,000. The defendant cross-complained against the plaintiff for breach of contract and claimed the plaintiff breached its agreement by failing to provide proper services. The defendant sought $500,000 on its cross-complaint. The defendants failed to conduct discovery. The plaintiff was able to have the defendants answer and cross-complaint stricken and obtained a default judgment against the defendants for the $250,000.
