Studwell, Inc. v. Pacific Economic Dev. Corp.

Our client brought an action against the defendant for breach of contract and common counts.  Our client claimed that the defendant failed to pay it $190,000 owed for engineering services that were provided for a gantry mill planer machine owned by the defendant’s client. The defendant filed a cross-complaint against our client for $250,000 contending that our client failed to properly and timely perform its obligations under their written contract.

After considering all the evidence, the court granted judgment in favor of our client in the sum of $300,000, which included the principal due to our client, accrued interest, court costs, and attorneys fees. The defendant’s recovered nothing on their cross-complaint.
