The case involved an action to foreclose on a deed of trust and to compel payment on a promissory note for the sum of $60,000 with a lis pendens that was filed against my client’s property.
My client contended that the note and deed of trust were obtained from our client by fraud from a third-party lender and that our client’s wife’s signature was forged on the document. I obtained a dismissal of the lawsuit and recovered $9,500 in attorney’s fees and court costs for my client.
