Michael C. Murphy, Jr., Esq.
Michael, Jr. is a ninth-year associate attorney and currently practices at the firm’s office in Westlake Village.
Similar to his father, Michael is an aggressive trial attorney that has also worked on both the plaintiff and defense side in all types of civil lawsuits. Michael spends most of his time serving his business clients, personal injury victims, handling employment cases as well as trust litigation. Michael has the ability to maneuver through complex cases after being exposed to some very big lawsuits early in his career.
During his first year of practice, he successfully litigated cases in state court and federal court as well as in arbitration. Michael’s keen legal research and writing skills have given him a competitive advantage over his adversaries. Multiple judges have complimented Michael on his outstanding legal work and persuasiveness during oral argument. Numerous clients have told him that he is an exceptional attorney. Michael has been involved in and negotiated settlements worth millions of dollars.
In 2015, Michael earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and passed the California Bar Exam during his first attempt. During law school, he earned an emphasis in Civil Litigation & Advocacy on his degree, which was a program initiated to help students specialize in becoming trial attorneys. He took advanced courses in Trial Advocacy, Civil Litigation, Negotiations, Evidence for Trial Lawyers, and California Civil Procedure. Michael has always been passionate about taking his client’s cases to trial and standing up for the little guy. He also took advanced courses in business planning and financing start-up companies.
Michael is a proud alumni student of San Diego State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While at SDSU, he focused his emphasis on Business Management and Entrepreneurship. He has always been passionate about helping entrepreneurs start and grow their companies through new innovations to make people’s lives easier every single day. Michael is dedicated to serving entrepreneurs who strive to make the world a better place.
Michael was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a fifth-generation Californian. He is also an avid Dodgers, Lakers, and L.A. Rams fan. During his time off, he enjoys spending weekends driving through Malibu, playing his guitar, snowboarding, and traveling.
